REPRESENTATIVE TEAM
TRIALS
I am very pleased to announce that CACTI has selected coaches for the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Representative Teams for 2009.
Junior Coaches – Shannon Anderson and Clare James – have achieved plenty of milestones in their coaching careers so far, including aggregate winners in Juniors and Sub-Juniors and many high places in competitions at Ballarat over the last few years. They offer a keen and enthusiastic approach to coaching ACT Juniors in 2009.
Intermediate Coaches – Christie Schoevers and Clare Bunworth – are very inspiring with their freshness, enthusiasm and are very excited at the prospect of coaching the ACT Intermediate team for 2009. Christie has enjoyed enormous success this year with Academy Seniors and CACTI is delighted with their willingness to undertake the coaching role with the ACT Inters team. Ann Craig has been appointed mentor coach and Christie and Clare look forward to working with other coaches to ensure a successful outcome for the Inters team in 2009 and beyond.
Senior Coach – Jaci Craig – it is great to have Jaci back and she is very keen to be coaching the Senior team.
With so many of our more experienced coaches moving in different directions with family and other important commitments, it is vital for ACT Calisthenics to look to the future and nurture and encourage new coaches willing to accept the role of coaching ACT representative teams. We have given a commitment to support our rep team coaches and assist them in meeting their newfound goals. We certainly hope that all Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors participants will support these coaches by attending trials over the next couple of weekends. Of course the Gold Coast is also a warm enticement.
All ACT Calisthenics participants are invited to the Trials for the ACT Representative Teams for 2009 in the following age groups: JUNIORS, INTERMEDIATES and SENIORS
Our teams will be competing at the 21st National Championships to be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland in July 2009.
Trials will be held over three weekends for Junior and Intermediate Teams commencing on Saturday 29 November, with final selections taking place on Saturday 13 December 2008. Participants MUST attend 2 out of the three trial classes to be eligible for selection. If this is not possible you will need to discuss with the Rep Team Convenor, Di Bozzato.
Senior team trials will be held on Sunday 7 December and 13 and 14 December 2008. Participants MUST attend 2 out of the three trial classes to be eligible for selection. If this is not possible you will need to discuss with the Rep Team Convenor, Di Bozzato.
The Trials will be held as follows:
JUNIORS AND INTERMEDIATES
DATE: SATURDAY 29 NOVEMBER 2008
TIME: JUNIORS 12noon to 2.30pm
INTERMEDIATES 9am to 11.30am
VENUE: Canberra College, Fremantle Drive Stirling
Note: Venue and times will change for weeks 2 and 3.
SENIORS
DATE: SUNDAY 7 DECEMBER
TIME: 10am-4pm
VENUE: Canberra College, Fremantle Drive Stirling
13 December – 9am to 3pm and 14 December 10am to 4pm – venue to be advised.
Please wear a black leotard, flesh coloured leggings/stockings (optional)
Hair is to be in a bun and fringes off the face.
Please bring your Rod, Clubs and Aesthetic Skirt.
